Annual Holiday Drive

Each year, most children eagerly anticipate the holiday season but for some children and families, the holidays can be difficult, because of the everyday challenges of providing food, maintaining shelter or buying essential items. Each day, Spectrum serves over 1,500 physical, intellectual, emotional and/or behavioral challenged children, youth, teens and adults living in Michigan.

To help make the holidays brighter, Spectrum conducts an Annual Holiday Drive to provide the children and families we serve with gifts and special holiday meals. This year, we expect the demand to be greater and that is why we need your help to reach our goal!

HOW YOU CAN HELP

Santa’s Workshop: Make a cash/credit card donation that will be used to purchase gifts for children, teens and young adults in one of Spectrum’s community-based programs. You may also donate new toys, gifts and clothes to Santa’s Workshop. Gifts are distributed during the month of December.

Secret Santa Program: “Adopt” a child, teen or developmentally disabled adult. Spectrum will send you the name, age, gender and Wish List (three to four items within a $5 - $25 price range) of each individual that you “adopt”. You choose an item from the Wish List and provide it as a wrapped gift. Gifts may be delivered to our Westland or Southfield office.

Santa’s Library: You, along with your group, club and/or auxiliary collect new books for youth in the adoption, foster care, residential services or juvenile justice programs. The books may range in reading level, from pre-school through adult; however, non-violent stories are preferred. This is an excellent community service project for a school!

Santa’s Pantry: Collect nonperishable food items, or purchase food gift cards for families or individuals in our programs.
